Individual Advising Appointments

Below is a list of advisors and the countries they are currently advising for, along with a link to their appointment page. Please schedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance. After you schedule an appointment with an advisor, you will receive an email with a link to a Zoom meeting. All meetings will be conducted over Zoom for the foreseeable future.

Preparing for your appointment:

  • Watch the Study Abroad 101 video series in advance so you can ask more program-specific questions during your meeting
  • Prepare questions and/or discussion topics to go over with your advisor
  • Be ready for a 10-20 minute conversation

Ben Briggs | Study Abroad Advising

Advises for programs in Greece (College Year in Athens only), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand), UK/Ireland (England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland), and the following partner provider programs worldwide: Academic Programs International (API), Arcadia Abroad: STEM Summer Research, Sea Semester, Semester at Sea.


Katelyn Brown-Gomez Misenheimer | Study Abroad Advising

Advises for programs in parts of the Americas (Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico – only UNC Yucatec Maya in Mexico), Southern Europe (France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Croatia), IES Abroad programs worldwide (only countries on this list), and is the Advisor for Access.

Advises for programs in Africa, Asia, Domestic programs, the Middle East, and parts of Europe. Countries include China (Fall only), Cumpston Fellowship, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong (Fall only), Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya (only SFS & SIT), Netherlands, Norway, Singapore (Fall only), South Africa (Fall only), South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan (Fall only), Tanzania (only SFS & SIT), Thailand, United States.

Advises for the following partner provider programs worldwide: CET Academic Programs, School for Field Studies (SFS), School for International Training (SIT).
