Mark your calendars for the mandatory Pre-Departure Conference! Details are on your online application page. All students, except those enrolled in Faculty-Led and Honors programs, are required to attend. (Faculty-Led and Honors program students will attend a separate pre-departure meeting.)
Pre-Departure Conference for Summer, Fall, and Academic Year 2020 Study Abroad Programs:
Pre-Departure consists of different components designed to deliver pertinent information regarding your program, as well as give you the flexibility to explore topics of interest. This year’s event will include a Resource Fair and Regional Meeting on April 14; in addition, in the week prior, April 7-9, we will offer interest sessions across multiple evenings to allow student flexibility in selecting sessions that are relevant to their needs.

The event on the evening of April 14 is required and will include the following:
Resource Fair: Connect with campus and other relevant partners about resources for enhancing your study abroad experience! Hang out with fellow participants and study abroad alumni.
Regional Meeting: Meet students going to your program, country, and/or region, and pick up tips and skills specific to your destination.
* You will receive a copy of the Pre-Departure Conference schedule in advance, noting your specific attendance time and locations.
Breakout Session Series | April 7-9, 2020 | Open to All
Attend evening sessions offered on a variety of topics presented by Study Abroad Office staff, campus representatives, and Study Abroad Peer Ambassadors and other returned students. The series is open to any and all students, those attending study abroad programs or interested in other global opportunities
Tuesday, April 7: Topics covered will include health & safety, credit transfer, and more!
Wednesday, April 8: Topics covered will include logistics such as budgeting, packing, travel, and more!
Thursday, April 9: Topics covered will include diversity, identity, and more!
