Compare the approximate cost of attendance at UNC-Chapel Hill for a semester versus the study abroad program cost listed in the budget sheet.

If you are an in-state student, there are many study abroad programs that are similar in cost to a fall or spring semester here at UNC Chapel Hill – and some programs that are even less expensive. The lists below include programs that are less than $12,000 and programs that are between $12,000-$14,000 for in-state students.

If you are an out-of-state student, the majority of our study abroad programs are less expensive than a semester at UNC Chapel Hill. You may find that direct-enroll and provider programs are most cost-effective, since you pay tuition to a partner institution.
