Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I selected the program when I applied as a freshman to UNC. I chose the program because it was something I had never hear of before- studying abroad your first semester of college- and because I had toured UNC and knew that this was the right university for me.
What did you learn about yourself?
I realised that I am much more resilient and adaptable than I had previously thought.
What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
Singing karaoke at my friends and my's favorite karaoke bar.
What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
My best advice would be that whenever you feel homesick, nervous, or uncomfortable, just give yourself a few days to adjust. Allow yourself to feel what ever emotions you have, but do so knowing that by giving yourself a few days, you'll become more comfortable with your new life style, you will most likely feel better.
