Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I applied for the opportunity to study abroad because I wanted to expand my cultural awareness, make new friends, and experience life in a different country! I chose to attend Carolina Global Launch because I felt that the opportunities I was given were a once in a lifetime chance that I could not pass up! As an incoming freshman, CGL allowed me a broaden my love for traveling and exploring new places, while making the transition into college a unique experience.

What did you learn about yourself?

What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
My favorite memory from the trip was the Ring of Kerry excursion. The views were amazing and it was some of the most fun I have had in my entire life! We were able to go to a sheep farm and see how sheep farmers use sheep dogs to herd the sheep! It was so cool!

What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
Advice I would give someone who is uncertain about studying abroad is to look into different programs and find one that truly excites you! It may seem scary but the support you are given while abroad is amazing and you will have the best time! Specially for incoming freshman, CGL can sound really scary at first but it is an amazing experience and I have been able to learn skills and make friends that will last me a lifetime!
