Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I chose to study abroad because I wanted a new experience that took me out of my comfort zone. I selected this study abroad program based off a reccommendation and the prestigiousness of the university.

What did you learn about yourself?
I grew so much during this experience. While going to live and study in Europe for 6 weeks was out of my comfort zone, I was able to adapt and enjoy the experience. It was hard to adjust to the cultural differences but I am so glad I went and would reccommend this experience to anyone who is interested... even if that involves overcoming your fears!

What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
One of my favorite memories from my program was meeting people from UNC abroad that I had not met in Chapel Hill! I was able to take these friendships back to Chapel Hill which is very special!

What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
Advice I have for future students is to completely immerse yourself into the culture. While it may be different than what they are used to, the best way to overcome uncertainties is to embrace the experience!

How do you identify?
Student of color
