Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I chose to study abroad because I really like to explore and meet new people, as well as that I saw a great opportunity to grow as a student. Being able to learn economics in a different culture really added value to the class and a real world example to wrap my head around.
What did you learn about yourself?
I learned that I am very capable of maintaining a healthy balance of school and life. While abroad, it was important to me to go out and explore on top of my schoolwork. I was able to work on my time management skills and really made the most out of my trip.
What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
One of my favorite memories was having class on an island called Fjäderholmarna. It was a great opportunity to see economic concepts; however, it was also a great opportunity for our class to bond and learn more about each other.
What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
I would recommend taking it one day at a time and to always look at the next day as an opportunity.
