Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I chose to study abroad because I wanted to experience a different culture. I love traveling and this experience allowed me to immerse myself in another culture, fully adapting my life to being out of the country. I chose this program because it offered classes that I needed to complete my major.

What did you learn about yourself?
Through my time abroad, I learned that I am very social and I love making new friends. I got extremely close to almost everyone I met. I also learned that I am a very efficient planner. Most of the weekend trips that my friends and I took were organized and coordinated by me.

What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
On one particular weekend, my friend Liam and I chose to go to Prague. We were by ourselves and were able to see the entire city. I met him while abroad and we quickly became best friends. Our trip to Prague was so much fun and we grew a lot closer.

What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
My biggest piece of advice is to keep an open mind. It can be very scary to be in a new place with no familiar faces, but putting yourself out there can lead you to make some of the best friends and most fun of your life. Everyone is very nervous, so acting standoffish will not contribute to anyone's experience.
