Visa & Immigration
This visa will allow you to enter the US up to 30 days prior to the program start date listed on your Form I-20, which will be the first day of classes for the semester per the University’s academic calendar. You must depart the US within 60 days after the program end date listed on your Form I-20, which will be the last day of the final exam period for the semester.
You will be prompted to submit the required documents to request a Form I-20, which will be reviewed and approved by International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). The processing time can take 2-4 weeks. Upon approval, the Form I-20 will be sent to you. This form is required to schedule the visa appointment. It is important that you submit the required documents to request the Form I-20 in a timely manner to avoid delays in the visa application process. You will be able to submit the documents required by ISSS only after your official admission is processed in the University’s system.
Before leaving your country, confirm that your passport and visa are still valid for entry into the United States. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your expected stay.
