Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I've taken 4 Italian classes at UNC and wanted to put the language into practice and experience the culture first hand.
What did you learn about yourself?
I can handle being out of my comfort zone and I never thought I could.
What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
TOO MANY!!!!! This was the best experience of my entire life, but my favorite memories comes from the lifelong friendships I made with the most incredible group of people.
What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
Don't let the fear of going to a foreign country alone intimidate you, it will be one of the best things you've ever done.
Would you do it again?
YES YES YES YES YES. I think about it every day, I miss it so much. I already have a flight booked back to Italy for next fall.
How were your classes abroad different than if you would have taken them at UNC?
The classes abroad were much smaller so there was a better opportunity to participate, but there were also SO many different perspectives to hear from.
