Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I wanted to expand my horizons beyond North Carolina and travel independently for the first time. I pursued my program because it aligned with one of my minors and my interest.
What did you learn about yourself?
I learned that I would be able to move across the world and be successful if I wanted to. Beforehand, I felt like I could only see myself in NC. Now, I am open to more opportunities further from home post-grad.
What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
Finding an Irish musician the whole group liked and seeing him perform multiple times in pubs. The live music really stands out in my memory!
What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
Talk to people in your same shoes. Let them know what you are worried about and let them help you if they are able.
