Why did you choose to study abroad and how did you select your program?
I have always wanted to go to England and study abroad. I selected my program that was for my major.

What did you learn about yourself?
Through COVID-19 experiences, I learned I am much tougher than I thought I could be.

What is one of your favorite memories from your program?
I loved going to Highclere Castle! It was the last experience I had traveling by myself before I left. Also, it was at the top of my bucket list! I made this video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeyz-r2TTEc&t=1s.

What advice do you have for future study abroad students?
Try your best to do as much as you can. Be safe. However, don't let fear control you.

How do you identify?
Student of color

Could you share any experiences where your identity played a role in your time abroad?
Not many experiences went into my experience as a Native American. However, it was the first time many of the people I met had met a Native American. It was pretty cool to be there for that.

Is there any advice you would give to other students who share your identity?
Do not be afraid to share your heritage with people. It is a really good talking point.
