Academics & Credit Info

A major myth surrounding study abroad is that the experience could delay a student’s graduation. As a parent, you are likely concerned about your student making progress in their degree program. The Study Abroad Office offers programs that provide academic credit, and students have the option of taking general education classes abroad or taking classes relevant to their major or minor. Students will work first with their Study Abroad Advisor and their Academic Advisor to identify options that will fit their academic needs. Rather than delaying graduation, studying abroad actually helps students to advance and to gain a competitive edge in the job market!
