Study Abroad courses in English and Comparative Literature typically count as 200-level electives, although exceptions may be made for especially rigorous courses. To earn elective credit toward the major or any department minor, students must write a minimum of 4000 words of graded, non-exam writing in a Study Abroad course. Pre-approval inquiries can be emailed to Dr. Jennifer Larson (firstname.lastname@example.org). Effective Fall 2017, students may not earn credit for Creative Writing courses taken in Study Abroad programs.
