ICAMS

The mission of ICAMS is to encourage minority students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study abroad and prepare them for the study abroad process. Minority students are greatly underrepresented abroad and oftentimes do not have adequate resources. As a result, ICAMS works to increase minority participation by providing advice, resources, and other important information.

It is imperative that minorities are aware of the possibilities of studying abroad and all of the opportunities it affords them. Studying abroad is a stepping stone toward understanding the global community, which is vital to forward mobility.

Use the links located on the right rail to navigate through this web site. There you will find advice from both advisors and students, testimonials from students who have previously studied abroad, facts and figures, frequently asked questions, and a host of other useful information.

Although the website is mainly geared towards minorities at UNC-Chapel Hill, anyone can access the website and use its services. It is our hope that we will bring more awareness to students and that more minorities will choose to study abroad as a result.
